Dry Type Low Voltage Distribution Transformers


Dry type low voltage distribution transformers are essential components in modern electrical systems, designed to step down higher voltages to levels suitable for use in residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Unlike oil-filled transformers, dry type transformers use air or specialized insulation materials to cool the transformer coils, making them safer and more environmentally friendly, particularly in indoor settings.


We offer LV distribution transformers within

the range of 15kVA ~ 2500kVA

Distribution Transformers

A. Oil Type Distribution Transformers


Oil-type distribution transformers are widely used electrical

devices that transfer electrical energy between

two or more circuits through electromagnetic induction.

These transformers are immersed in mineral oil or synthetic oil,

which serves a dual purpose: providing insulation for the internal

components and acting as a cooling medium to

dissipate the heat generated during operation.



We Offer 2 Types of Oil Type Distribution Transformers

i. Pole-Mounted Distribution Transformers


These are installed on utility poles and

provide electrical service to homes

and small businesses.



We offer pole-mounted oil type distribution

transformers in the range of 15kVA~250kVA

with voltage upto 34.5kV.

ii. Pad-Mounted Distribution Transformers


These are placed on the ground and are

enclosed in tamper-resistant cabinets, commonly

used in underground distribution systems.



We offer Pad-mounted oil type transformers

in the range of 15kVA ~ 10000kVA

and voltage upto 44kV.

B. Dry Type Distribution Transformers



Dry type distribution transformers are innovative electrical devices designed to

efficiently step down voltage levels for safe distribution across residential, commercial, and

industrial applications. Utilizing air or solid insulation materials instead of oil,

these transformers offer enhanced safety, reduced maintenance,

and a compact design, making them ideal for a variety of environments.


We offer dry type distribution transformers upto the

range of 10MVA and voltage upto 34.5kV



We offer 2 types of Dry type distribution transformers

i. Vacuum Pressure Impregnated Transformers (VPI)


Vacuum Pressure Impregnated (VPI) Transformers

are built with windings that are

impregnated with resin under vacuum pressure,

ensuring thorough insulation and protection.

This method allows for greater thermal

efficiency and mechanical strength

compared to other

dry type transformers.

ii. Cast Coil / Cast Resin Transformers (CRT)


Cast Resin Transformers are one of the

most popular types of dry type transformers,

known for their robustness and reliability.

The windings are encased in epoxy resin,

which provides excellent protection against

moisture, dust, and corrosive environments.

Power transformers are essential components

in electrical power systems, designed to efficiently transfer

electrical energy between different voltage levels in

transmission and distribution networks.

These transformers are typically used

to step up the voltage for transmission

over long distances or to step down the voltage

range of 150MVA, 245kV class.
